Hitting the Streets
Yesterday I was in Logan Square, today I was off the Belmont blue line. Tomorrow? Avondale.
It’s been great switching from running for Commissioner to U.S. Congressman of the 4th Legislative District of Illinois. This means not only can I really work with people at the ground level, I also have the opportunity to directly make a difference in the lives of those in need.
I’ve been very fortunate to get over 70 signatures in less than 2 hours today. Speaking with people of all races, ethnicities, creeds, economic and social backgrounds, and orientations is a blessing and I’m touched to receive such great support. Though I’m running against Luis Gutierrez, an old colleague of mine, I am ready to foster a change that hasn’t been delivered in his 18 years in office.
Get ready for a change, Chicago. It is coming with your support.
